2279 SPECIALIST ENGINEER - STEERING SYSTEMS (35228)

Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related field;
Extensive experience in the development of steering systems within the automotive industry;
Strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics, steering technologies, and system integration;
Proven experience leading complex technical activities involving cross-functional teams and suppliers;
Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken;

Nice to have:
Experience with electrohydraulic steering systems, ADAS, or driver assistance technologies;
Knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and safety-critical system development;
Experience with verification & validation methodologies and vehicle testing;
Familiarity with CAN communication and vehicle measurement or diagnostic tools.

Activities:
Lead the development and application of steering systems for regional and global commercial vehicle platforms;
Define system requirements, technical solutions, and verification & validation strategies throughout the product lifecycle;
Drive technical problem solving, root cause investigations, DFMEA activities, and product quality improvements;
Lead supplier development and technical alignment activities to ensure robust and competitive solutions;
Collaborate with global engineering teams across multiple functions and locations;
Contribute to steering technology roadmaps and future product strategies;
Coach and support colleagues by actively sharing knowledge and promoting engineering excellence.
