2094 ENGINEERING GRADUATE PROGRAM 2026 - ASSOCIATE SYSTEM/HARDWARE VERIFICATION ENGINEER (31758)

Requirements:
• A bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer/Computation Engineering, Control Systems, or similar;
• To have graduated no more than 24 months ago;
• For internal employees: maximum of two years working at Volvo;
• You also need to be fluent in English, both written and verbal;
• Solid knowledge of electrical & electronics fundamentals;
• Good understanding of test & verification concepts and practices;
• Knowledge of microcontrollers;
• Embedded systems understanding;
• Experience with programming languages (e.g. C, Python);
• Hands-on experience with hardware debugging;
• Experience with lab equipment such as digital oscilloscopes and multimeters;
• Knowledge of Ethernet and advanced communication protocols is a plus;
• Experience with vehicle network architecture and communication/diagnostic protocols is a plus.

Activities:
• Collaborate with related teams across different functions within Volvo R&D;
• Support investigation and resolution of product quality issues when needed;
• Support functional verification and fault tracing in vehicles, rigs, and lab environments;
• Review and validate documentation for components according to system/subsystem requirements, component technical requirements, and supplier input;
• Develop and maintain automated test cases integrating Hardware and Embedded Software;
• Perform root-cause analysis (RCA) for issues found in the product;
• Execute exploratory testing to uncover edge cases;
• Document test activities according to Volvo processes and systems.
